'The roof of the world': Tibet captures the imagination worldwide. Even so, Tibet has been occupied by China for the last sixty years. Today the Dalai Lama and thousands of his followers live in exile. While the Tibetan people receive a lot of support and sympathy, the situation is complex because of China’s political and economic power. We feel that it would be a great loss for the world, should the Tibetan culture of compassion and nonviolence disappear. Therefore, it is by giving the Tibetan way of life a voice and a stage, that Ticket For Tibet works to preserve it.
